"I warn my centre-back 'I'm not staying' and that I'm just going to continue attacking.

"The running is what I'm looking for. It's enjoyable."

Unreal Experience

Along with the forward's six goals on his first game, Stephen Ireland has scored 8 in three games for Wythenshawe, while Boyd scored 5 on his first appearance and Joleon Lescott, a centre-half by trade, notched a hat-trick in one match up front.

The team are leading of the Premier Division with three wins from three and a GD of plus nineteen.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who features on the flank for Collegiate OB, came up against ex- Latics full-back Figueroa on Sunday - and had to tell his nine-year-old boy who Heskey was.

"The news was spreading like wildfire they had all these ex-Premier League stars," remarked the player.

"I think I was a little starstruck playing against him to be honest.

"Also Emile [Heskey] got on and he's got over 60 England caps.

"We competed well for a solid twenty mins but then we had a man dismissed and it was tough.

"We really haven't ceased talking about it - I was calling my mum and sibling on the way home.

"The opponents were all really nice, shaking our hands after the game - it was like playing a group of regular guys.

"Now we are eager for the return fixture."

"Our team scored one-nil up and had a
